The draw for the inaugural Thika 10 a side tournament slated for the 1st and 2nd of November has been released.

The tournament which seeks to raise funds for the upcoming season for hosts Thika RFC, has managed to attract top flight sides to the Thika Stadium.
The 2014 Kenya cup and Enterprise cup champions, Top Fry Nakuru headline the list of 16 which also includes Homeboyz, Impala, Nondies and the Kenya Harlequins.
Pool A
Predictably, the Wanyore headline Pool A where they are joined by Nondies, Laikipia and the Multi Media university.
It should be a straight forward affair for the two Kenya cup sides Nakuru and Nondies who should be doing battle for top spot in this pool at the end of day one.
Pool B
Recently crowned Mt. Kenya 10-a-side champions, Homeboyz headline Pool B, where they will square it out against Blak Blad, Pitbull and the Brumbies.
The Djs should have a cruise in this pool, their biggest opposition coming from the 2014 Universities category champions in the just concluded Impala Floodlits.
Pool C
The 2014 Floodies runners up Kenya Harlequins headline Pool C, where they are joined by three university sides. Mean Machine from the University of Nairobi, the Cougars of JKUAT and MKU.
A tricky looking pool with JKUAT poised to give the top two sides in Quins and Machine a run for their money.
Pool D
The Impala Saracens head line Pool D, and will battle it out against USIU, hosts Thika and Kiambu for a spot in the cup competition on Day 2.
Impala are the favourites to top this pool with USIU set to be their biggest challengers. The hosts Thika should not be taken lightly here as they will have their home support right behind them.
With a 200,000 cash prize up for grabs, expect upsets right left and centre, from the first whistle. The runners up will walk away with 150,000 with the Plate winners pocketing 50,000.
