Shoes Takes On Head To Head

This week on head to head, I have the honour of hosting a man who has been a great influence, a mentor. Especially in this writing sphere, a man I look up to and a great rugby gent all round. Pretty sure this space wouldn’t be here had it not been for his wise counsel.

Notice the Shoes..hehe
Notice the Shoes..hehe

Former Impala and KCB winger, Michael ‘Shoes’ Kwambo needs little introduction to many a rugby fan. The former Impala and KCB winger has won every major accolade between his time at those clubs, also handling a coaching role in the all conquering KCB cubs side of 2008.

Shoes is currently the Media and Communications Manager at the Kenya Rugby Union. His work here needs several medals, accolades and a street named after him if you asked me.

Straight to his Match Day 12 predictions, he keeps them short and sharp :

KCB v Catholic Monks – KCB +43 (Showing compassion to the Monks)

Strathmore Leos v Nakuru – Nakuru +6 (It will be a tight encounter)

Homeboyz v Mombasa – Homeboyz +20 ( though they could benefit from a walkover)

Kenya Harlequins v Kabras Sugar  – Kabras Sugar Kabras+9 (Purely based on form, no disrespect to Quins)

Mwamba v Blak Blad – Mwamba+19

Nondies v Mean Machine  – Nondies+ 16

Western Bulls v Impala Saracens – Impala+6

Here I go..

KCB vs Catholic – KCB +90 over Catholic

Strathmore vs Nakuru – Strathmore +3 over Nakuru

Homeboyz vs Mombasa – Walk over

Kenya Harlequins vs Kabras – Kabras +10 over Quins

Mwamba vs Blakblad – Mwamba +30 over Blad

Nondies vs Mean Machine – Nondies +25 over Machine

Western Bulls vs Impala – Impala +10 over Western Bulls

Over to you!

Which Way Kenya Rugby?

It has been an interesting couple of months for Kenya Rugby, although when has it ever been otherwise? This time, however, it has been a bit more interesting, louder, and a bit more chaotic. I won’t go into the details of the said wrangles, which have marked a new low for the sport (story for […]
