Big Wheels Takes On Head To Head

This week on Head to head I host one of Kenya rugby’s biggest stars, he made his big break at the 2009 JWRT in Nairobi and has never looked back since.

Big Wheels
Big Wheels

Standing at 6 ft 2 inches, 95 kg, he is every coach’s dream back row. Packs a crunching tackle, a great work rate at the breakdown, breaks defence lines at will and has a serious pair of wheels to go with.

These attributes earning him a vital role for both club and country, and the 2011 osbke player of the year accolade. (I had to throw that in somewhere, don’t think we have had another Player of the year since then, its about time we did, no?)

Somehow I still feel that, this introduction does little justice if any to the man that is Oscar Ouma.

The Nakuru man has been a main stay of the Kenya sevens since 2009, cementing his role regime after regime. At club level he is an integral part of Wanyore’s golden generation until lately, when he turned pro and now plies his trade in Sri Lanka for Kandy Sports Club.

Needless to say that he marked his debut for Kandy with a try. In his few months there he has faced the 2014 Super rugby champions the Waratahs in a pre season friendly, and has become a vital part of the side, that is challenging for the local league. They are currently in second spot, one point behind league leaders, Navy SC with a game in hand.

Onto business, here are his Match Day 13 predictions, short and sharp. Story mob amewachia radio :

Impala vs Nondies – 5+ for Impala.

Catholic vs Western bulls – 30+for Bulls.

Machine vs Mwamba  – 20 + for Kulabu.

Blackblad vs Homeboyz – 30+ for Homeboyz.

Mombasa vs quins – 40+ for Quins.

kabras vs Strathmore – 5+ for Kabras.

Nakuru vs Kcb – 10+ for Nakuru.
