The Headmaster On Head To Head

Its Back, no really it is, and this time for good hehe. I’ll admit that predicting the sevens series proved to be an effort in futility kind of like kuchota maji na gunia, for me at least.

The Headmaster
Now you understand why the name ‘Headmaster’ right?

First, a big wabee to Eunice Olembo who almost literally run me over, last time out.

You all have that one friend who you don’t seem to understand how the two of you get along, well I have several of those. And for the opening week of the 15s season I host one of these characters. The only time we are on the same side with Anthony ‘the head master’ Karanja is when Kenya or the Papa Franchise are playing, I bet we don’t even share the same tastes in simple things like food, hehe.

This weekend at the Floodies will be another of those many occasions, where we will be on opposite sides as the KCB Lions take on Mwamba RFC in the last quarter final. This time however, the rivalry will be ‘televised!’

The Lenana School old boy was recently elected Treasurer of his club side Mwamba RFC, the ‘early bird’ reckons that the opening weekend at Floodies will play out like this :

Homeboyz win by +15 over Nondies.
Impala win by +10 over Quins.
Nakuru win by +5 over Strathmore.
Mwamba (ofcourse) +10 over KCB.

With the Rugby World cup also in the quarter finals, we thought why not join in the fun :

South Africa (sadly) +15 over Wales
New Zealand (ofcourse) close one +5 over France
Australia (sadly) +15 over Scotland
Ireland +10 over Argentina (only Northern Hemisphere team to make it)

You can already tell that he is a shoe shinner, can’t you? Hehe here are my predictions.

Nondies +10 over Homeboyz
Impala by +15 over Quins
Strathmore +5 over Nakuru
KCB +7 over Mwamba

Across our borders :
South Africa +20 over Wales
New Zealand +5 over France (Cant believe I agree smh)
Australia +25 over Scotland
Argentina +3 over Ireland (there will be no Northern Hemisphere side in the Semi)

We both saw it wise not to touch the schools category, hehe let’s just hope that our respective schools don’t disappoint!

Well there we have it, so how do you think the events at the weekend will play out? Feel free to share in the comments section below.
