Wammamy on Head to Head

Before we get to my guest on match day 5, apologies for not doing the regular preview (I would have titled this one ‘closing day 2015’), it has been a hectic week at the Muhindi’s, with the year coming to an end.

Wammamy
Wammamy

I am currently crammed up in a dark corner, just far enough to hear myself think while listening to the great music pumping from the speakers they got for our end of year party. Here we go..

My guest today is a true rugby gent, both on and off the pitch. The only place he gets it wrong is in his support for the Wallabies. Anyway we all have our flaws, right?

He was part of the great Leos side that earned Kenya cup promotion and went through that torrid first couple of seasons. After a few years out, he is now slowly making his return to mentor the current Leos side or rather loose a few kilos.

The ‘front row looking, centre’ Edgar Osege or Wammamy as he is fondly known, will be taking on Mwamba II at the Jamuhuri Park tomorrow. Before that though, he takes a stab at predicting the Kenya cup fixtures :

Strathmore to beat Mwamba by +13
Bulls over Machine by +24
Quins over Blad by +30
Kcb over Kabras by +8
Homeboyz over Thika, by +40
Nondies over sharks by +35
Nakure +5 over Impala
My predictions look like this :

Strathmore over Mwamba by +10
Bulls over Machine by +20
Quins over Blad by +15
Kabras over KCB by +3
Homeboyz over Thika, by +50
Nondies over sharks by +25
Nakuru over Impala +5.
Pretty straight forward fixtures you’d say apart from maybe those two sticky ones. After that loss to Impala will Mwamba bounce back against the Leos?

Remember what Mwamba was to Impala before match day 4, that is what the Leos are to Mwamba. In short the Leos never seem to lose to Mwamba. Will Kabras finally get over their Nairobi-phobia? They are yet to win in the capital. This one will be more of a psychological battle more than anything.

Before I pen down a full preview here, let me get back to the party…*clicks post, and shuts down laptop dancing to ‘Weka weka..weka weka..tuna weka weka..’

Feel free to share your match day 5 predictions in the comments section..

P.S Now that I am done with Edgar, Kibet get ready, you are up next for Match day 6.

KWISHA…Nimeruka Nje!!!
